Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jack. He lived with his mother. They had no money, but they had a cow.

Jack’s mother said, “We have no money left. Take the cow to the market and try to sell it. And get some food with the money.”

At the market, a man said, “If you give me your cow I will give you these beans beans.” Jack said, “I cannot sell my cow for beans. Do you have money?” But the man said, “These beans are better than money. They are magical!” Jack was happy to have magic beans!

Jack ran home. He showed the magic beans to his mother. When she saw the beans, she was very angry. “You sold our cow for beans!” She took the beans from Jack, and she threw them out the window!

The next morning, Jack saw a big plant by his window. The beans had become a giant beanstalk. It went all the way to the sky!

Jack quickly got dressed, and he began to climb the beanstalk. “I wonder what is at the top,” he said. When he got to the top, he saw a great big castle!

Inside the castle, Jack found a lot of gold. Suddenly, Jack heard a very loud laugh. He turned around, and he saw a Giant. The Giant said, “Ha! Do you like my gold? Take as much as you can carry.” Then, the Giant yelled, “After that, I will eat you!”

Jack filled up his bag with gold. The Giant tried to catch Jack, but Jack was too quick. Jack took the gold and ran out of the castle. The Giant was running behind Jack, and he was getting close!

Jack found the beanstalk, and he began to climb down. Then he looked up. He said, “Oh, no!” The Giant was climbing down the beanstalk, too!

When Jack was down, he found an axe. He quickly cut down the beanstalk, and the Giant fell very far away. Jack and her mother lived happily ever after.
