Long ago, there was a Tiger that lived in the mountains. He was very big and strong.

One day, the Tiger fell into a trap in the ground. The trap was very deep, and the Tiger could not jump out.
Page 3
A Man walked by, and he saw the Tiger in the trap. The Tiger said to the Man, “Please help me out of this trap.” So, the Man helped the Tiger.

The Tiger was very happy to be free. The Man and the Tiger walked together for a while. Suddenly, the Tiger said to the Man, “I am hungry. I am going to eat you!”

The Man said, “It is bad manners to eat the person who saves your life.” Then, the Man looked at a Tree, and he asked, “Am I right, Mr. Tree?” The Tree answered, “Yes, you are.”

Then, the Man asked a Rock, “Is it bad manners to eat the person who saves your life?” The Rock said, “Yes, it is. And it is very unlucky, too.” But the Tiger said, “I do not care!”

Finally, the Man asked a Toad, “Is it bad manners to eat the person who saves your life?” The Toad thought about it. Then, he said to the Tiger, “Let us go back to the trap.”
