Long ago, a boy lived in a small town. One day, he heard that the governor was coming. He wanted to see the governor. The boy’s father took him to see the governor. There was a big parade. Then, the governor came by. He was riding a handsome, white horse.

The boy said to his father, “Someday, I will be a governor.” But the father said, “You cannot be a governor. Only nobles can become governors.” A few months later, the boy became very sick. When he died, his parents were very sad. Every year, they had a ceremony to remember him.

In a big city, there was a noble boy. Every year, he had a dream. He dreamed that an old man and woman were speaking to him. The noble boy grew up. He became a governor. One day, he went to the small town where the boy had lived.

The governor thought, “I have never been here, but I know this town.” He began walking down a street. Soon, the governor was at the home of the old man and woman. The governor knew that they were having a ceremony.

The governor told the old man and woman about his dream. And he said, “I have never been here, but I remember this house.” Then, the old man and woman were happy. The spirit of their son had entered the noble boy’s body. So, their son really did become the governor!
