Once, there was a mouse who lived in the town. Her name was Town Mouse. One day, she went for a walk in the country. There, she met another mouse named Field Mouse.

Field Mouse said, “Hello. What is your name?” Town Mouse said, “My name is Town Mouse. I live in the town over there.”

Field Mouse asked, “Do you like living in the town?” Town Mouse said, “Oh, yes! It is very nice. I can receive a lot of sweet food from the people who live there.”

Then Town Mouse asked, “How is life in the country?” Field Mouse said, “My life is very simple. I do not have much, but I am happy.”

Field Mouse took Town Mouse to her home in the country. Town Mouse was very curious to see Field Mouse’s simple home.

Town Mouse was surprised to see all of the yummy food in Field Mouse’s house. It made Town Mouse very hungry and jealous. It was much more food than she could find in town.

But she lied to Field Mouse. She said “In my house, I have much more food.” Then she took Town mouse to the city where she lived.

Town Mouse lived in a grocery store and Field Mouse was surprised to see all of the food there. Suddenly, a cat came into the room. Field Mouse did not know about the danger. She had never seen a cat before.

Field Mouse asked Town Mouse, “Who is that?” Town Mouse said, “He is my friend. You can say hello to him.” Field Mouse went to the cat. Then, the cat ate Field Mouse in one bite! Meanwhile, Town mouse ran away from the cat.

Town Mouse lied to Field Mouse. Then, she tricked her. And finally, Town Mouse killed Field Mouse, and she took all of the food in Field Mouse’s house. Some people cannot be trusted.
