Page 1
One day in early Spring, a Sheep was walking in the mountains. She was with her child, a Lamb. Suddenly, a Wolf jumped out from behind a tree. He wanted to eat them!

The Sheep said, “Please do not eat us now. We are going to the grassy hills to eat. In Autumn we will be very fat. We will come back here, and you can eat us then.”

The Wolf smiled. He said, “Today is my lucky day! OK. I will wait for you. We will meet here in the middle of Autumn, and I will eat you and your Lamb.”

The Rabbit asked, “Why are you so worried?” The Sheep told the Rabbit about the Wolf. Then, the Rabbit smiled. He said, “I will help you.”

The Rabbit filled two big bags with leaves. He put the bags on the Lamb’s back. Then, he put a saddle on the Sheep. He got his little sword, and he climbed onto the Sheep’s back.
