Once upon a time, there were two brothers named Ali Baba and Kasim. Kasim was lazy, but he married a rich woman. Ali Baba married a poor woman, but he was hard working.

One day, Ali Baba was working hard in the forest. There, he saw many thieves standing in front of a gray mountain. The Chief Thief said, “Open sesame!” Then, a secret door opened in the side of the mountain. The thieves went inside the cave.

Ali Baba quietly followed the thieves. He did not want to get caught. Inside the cave, Ali Baba saw piles and piles of gold. He put a few gold pieces in his bags. Outside the cave, Ali Baba heard the Chief Thief say "Close Sesame!" Then, the door disappeared.

The next day, Ali Baba saw his brother, Kasim. Ali Baba asked, “Can I use your scale?” Ali Baba wanted to know how much gold he had.

Later, Ali Baba gave the scale back to Kasim. Kasim asked, “Why did you use my scale?” Ali Baba said, “I took some gold from the Forty Thieves. Kasim was surprised. “Do you know where the gold is?” Ali Baba said, “Yes, I do. And I know the magic word.”

The very next day, Kasim went to the mountain with a donkey. He said, “Open sesame!” When the secret door opened, Kasim went inside. He filled many bags with gold.

Kasim put the gold on his donkey, and he started to go home. Then, the thieves saw Kasim, and they saw their gold on Kasim’s donkey! The Chief Thief asked, “How did you find our secret cave?” Kasim said, “Ali Baba told me. And he stole your gold too!”

That night, the Chief Thief went to Ali Baba’s house. The other thieves hid in big jars. The chief thief pretended to be a merchant. He said to Ali Baba, "I am selling these jars of olive oil."

Then, Ali Baba’s son came out. He saw a sword moving inside one jar. He said, “Father, be careful! It is a trap!” Then Ali Baba and his son rolled the jars down the hill. The chief thief ran away, and the other thieves followed him.

The next morning, Ali Baba and Kasim talked to each other. Ali Baba said, “We should not steal tings. We should work hard.” And Kasim said, “Yes. In the end, bad things always happen to bad people.”
