One day, a wealthy lady was in her mansion on Christmas. She heard the noise of the witches and trolls. They were gathering for their winter party.

A brave servant rode his horse out that night. He went to the monsters’ party to see what they were doing. A beautiful woman came to him and gave him a drink.

The servant took the drink, and he poured it on the ground. The ground burned where he poured the drink. The beautiful woman turned into a witch and screamed.

The servant took the golden cup that held the evil drink. He got on his horse, and he rode away as quickly as he could. All of the witches and trolls chased him.

The servant rode as fast as he could, and he reached the mansion where the wealthy lady lived. He gave the golden cup to the lady.

The trolls and witches warned the wealthy lady to return the cup to them. But she kept it. Two days later, the servant’s horse died. Then, the servant died.

The wealthy lady never returned the cup. Her family still has the cup today. But they are not wealthy anymore. Their family has only had bad luck since that day.
