Long ago, in the land of Armenia, there lived an old king and his wife. They were sad because they did not have a son who could become king.
Page 2
One day, an angel came to the king and queen. The angel said, “You will have a son. But you will both die when he is born."
Page 3
One year later, a son was born to the king and queen. But, like the angel had said, both the king and queen died that day.
Page 4
The baby was named David, and he was taken to live with his uncle. To keep David safe, the uncle did not tell him that he was the dead king’s son.

Soon after the king died, an army invaded. The enemy army was very strong, and they soon took over Armenia.

David was a very strong boy, and he wanted to fight the enemy. He wanted to free Armenia!

One day, David met an old woman. She said, “You are strong, and you love Armenia. It is because you are the son of a king!”
Page 8
When David learned that he was the rightful king of Armenia, he did not waste any time. He gathered an army, and he went to fight the enemy.
Page 9
David rode a magical flying horse, and he had a lightning sword! But the enemy had a giant monster! After a long fight, David killed the monster.

The enemy soldiers were afraid of David. So he said, “I will not kill you. Go home in peace. But never think of invading Armenia again!”
