One day, a boy named Emelyan caught a fish. The fish said, “If you put me back in the river, I will teach you a magic spell.” So, Emelyan learned a magic spell.

A princess saw Emelyan, and she asked, “Why are you so happy?” Emelyan said, “A fish taught me a magic spell.” The princess laughed at Emelyan.

When the princess laughed, Emelyan quietly said, “I wish the princess was going to have a baby. That would be a big surprise for her!”

Suddenly, the princess had a big belly. The next day, a baby was born. The princess and the king were surprised.

The princess did not know who the father was; she did not know that Emelyan used his magic. The king said, “We will let the baby find his father.”

The king gathered all of the men in his castle. He held the baby in front of each man. When the king reached Emelyan, the baby laughed and hugged him.

The king did not want to have poor man like Emelyan in his family. He put Emelyan, the princess, and the baby in a barrel, and he put the barrel in the sea!

The princess asked Emelyan, “How can this be your baby?” Emelyan said, “I used my magic to make the baby.” But the princess still did not believe him.

Emelyan made a wish; he turned the barrel into a big ship with great sailors. They went to an island. There, Emelyan wished for a castle and a rich city.

Emelyan became the king of the city, and he became very powerful. He married the princess, and they lived happily ever after with their son.
