Once upon a time, there was a girl who always wore a red cloak. People called her Red Riding Hood.

One day Red Riding Hood’s Mother asked her to take food to her Grandmother. Grandmother was very sick, and she could not get out of bed.

Mother also said, "Red Riding Hood, do not speak to strangers on the way."

On the way, Red Riding Hood met a Wolf. The Wolf asked her, "Where are you going?"
Page 5
Red Riding Hood forgot that she should not speak to strangers. She told the Wolf, "I am going to Grandmother's house. She is very sick, and she is waiting for me."

The Wolf ran to Grandmother’s house very fast. He entered the house before Red Riding Hood arrived.

The Wolf ate poor Grandmother whole, in one big bite!

The Wolf put on Grandmother’s nightgown and cap. He got into Grandmother’s bed. The Wolf thought, “I will pretend to be Grandmother and I will eat red Riding Hood too.” And he started waiting for Red Riding Hood.

Red Riding Hood came in. She found Grandmother in bed. But Grandmother looked strange. Red Riding Hood asked, "Grandmother, why do you have very big ears?" The Wolf said, "They are to hear you better."

Then, Red Riding Hood asked, "Grandmother, why do you have very big eyes!" The Wolf said, "They are to see you better."

Then, Red Riding Hood asked, "Grandmother, why do you have very big teeth!" The Wolf said, "They are to eat you with!" The Wolf grabbed Red Riding Hood. But Red Riding Hood quickly ran away and found an old hunter who lived in the forest.

The Hunter slowly approached the house, the Wolf was tired and he was sleeping by snoring.

The Hunter was going to kill the Wolf with his rifle. But he had a better idea.

He Cut open the Wolf’s stomach. Out jumped Grandmother! She was OK! Then the Hunter filled the Wolf's stomach with stones. The wolf could never attack Grandma again.

Red Riding Hood ran back home. She promised that she would never talk to strangers again.
