Long, long ago, there was a giant named Reygoch. He lived in the cold mountains, and he spent his days counting stones in an old city. He was very happy.

One day, a fairy came to Reygoch. The fairy’s name was Curlylocks. She and Reygoch soon became friends.

Curlylocks said to Reygoch, “Let’s go on an adventure.” Reygoch had never been away from his mountains, so he was happy to join Curlylocks on an adventure.

Reygoch and Curlylocks traveled to a beautiful forest. There was a river that flowed nearby. It was very strong. Also, there were two towns, one on each side of the forest.

The adults of each town hated the people of the other town. But in one town there was a Grandfather. And in the other, there was a Grandmother.

The Grandfather and Grandmother wanted everyone in both towns to be friends. The adults did not want to be friends. But the children wanted to be friends.

The children of the two towns played together secretly. One day, Reygoch and Curlylocks found the children playing together. They played with the children, too.

While Reygoch, Curlylocks, and the children played, the adults from one town broke the dam holding back the river! They wanted to drown the other town!

The river drowned everyone in one town. But then, the river drowned everyone in the other town, too. Because of the adults, everyone drowned! Only the children were saved.

Reygoch, the giant, used his size and strength to stop the river. Then, he rebuilt the dam. Curlylocks sang songs, and she gave hope to the children.
