Once upon a time, there was a man named Sindbad. His father was very rich. When his father died, Sindbad got all of the money.

Sindbad was very lazy and spoiled. He spent his money quickly. He decided to become a sailor to search for adventure and treasure.
Page 3
Sindbad used the last of his money to buy a ship and hire a crew. When everything was ready, Sindbad set sail with his crew on his new ship.

On Sindbad’s trip, the ship landed on a small island. The sailors went to look for treasure. Suddenly, the sailors realized that it was not an island; it was a giant whale!

When the whale went under water, all of the sailors made it back to the ship, except for Sindbad. Sindbad was left floating in the ocean in a barrel!

After many days at sea, Sindbad washed up on an island. There, he saw a horse that was being drowned by a sea monster. Sindbad killed the monster and saved the horse!

A man saw this, and he said, “That is the king’s horse!” Sindbad returned the horse to the king of the island. Soon, Sindbad and the king became good friends.
