Mr. Dragon and his wife lived at the bottom of the sea. One day, Mrs. Dragon became very sick. Mr. Dragon asked his wife, “What can I do for you?” Mrs. Dragon said, “Please bring me a monkey. A monkey’s heart is good medicine.”

Mr. Dragon said, “I know where to find a monkey!” Mr. Dragon swam to a small island where a monkey lived. Mr. Dragon sat in the water near the beach. He watched Mr. Monkey swinging and playing in a tree. It was the only tree on the island.

Mr. Dragon asked, “Why do you spend all day in this tree?” Mr. Monkey said, “This is the only tree on my island. I have no choice.”Mr. Dragon said, “There are many trees across the sea. Climb onto my back, Mr. Monkey. I will take you there.” Mr. Monkey got on Mr. Dragon’s back. Together, they swam away.

Then, Mr. Dragon said, “I lied to you, Mr. Monkey. We are not going to the trees across the sea. I am taking you to my wife. She is sick, and she wants to eat your heart.” Suddenly, Mr. Dragon began to dive under the water. Mr. Monkey said “Wait! Wait! I did not know that your wife wanted to eat my heart. I left my heart in the tree on the beach.”

Mr. Dragon turned around. He took Mr. Monkey back to the beach. Mr. Monkey began to walk to the tree. He said, “I will be back soon, Mr. Dragon. ”Then, Mr. Monkey ran away. Mr. Dragon was tricked. He had to go back to Mrs. Dragon without a monkey.
