Long ago, there was a very beautiful girl. He parents wanted her to marry a good man, but the girl was too proud. She met many men, but they were never good enough for her.

One day, a skull that lived in the Spirit World learned about the beautiful girl. The skull said, “I want to marry that girl and bring her here.”

The skull talked to his friends in the Spirit World. He borrowed parts from them. One friend had the best legs, so the skull borrowed them.
Page 4
The skull had another friend who had a handsome head, so he borrowed the head. Then, he borrowed the best arms, and he borrowed the best body.

The skull looked at himself in a mirror. He said, “With these borrowed parts, I am very handsome. The girl will certainly marry me.”

6- The skull went to the girl’s village. When the girl saw him, she fell in love. She wanted to marry him that day!

The girl’s parents were worried because they did not know the handsome man. But the girl married the man, and she went away with him.

The skull took the girl to the Spirit World. When they arrived, the skull returned all of the parts that he had borrowed. Then, the girl saw that she had married an ugly skull.

The skull took the girl to his house. There, the girl met the skull’s mother. The mother was very old and weak. The girl felt sorry for the mother, so she helped her a lot.

The skull’s mother was very grateful to the girl, and she saw that the girl was sad. She said, “You do not belong in the Spirit World. I will help you escape!”

One day, while the skull was away, his mother called a gentle breeze. She asked the breeze to take the girl back to her village.
