Once upon a time, there was a poor woodcutter. One day, he was cutting trees in the forest. Suddenly, it became dark. Rain clouds were in the sky.
Page 2
The woodcutter hurried, but the sky grew darker and darker. He could not get home before the rain came. Then, the woodcutter saw a small cave.
Page 3
The woodcutter went inside the cave. He thought, “I can stay dry in this cave. I will wait here until the storm is gone.”
Page 4
The woodcutter was safe from the storm. But then, he heard three growling voices! The woodcutter was afraid. He hid behind a rock in the cave.
Page 5
Three ugly goblins came out of the woods. They stood in a circle. They hit their clubs on the ground. Each time they hit the ground, gold and silver appeared.
Page 6
The woodcutter’s stomach rumbled because he was very hungry. The goblins suddenly stopped making silver and gold.
Page 7

The goblins ran away quickly. One of the goblins dropped his club. But he did not stop running. He did not want to get wet.
Page 9
The woodcutter came out of the cave. He put all of the silver and gold into his wooden backpack. Then, he picked up the goblin’s club, and he ran home.
