Long ago, there were two men. Their names were Ki-Wu and Pao-Shu. They were very good friends.

One day, they went for a walk in the forest. They were very tired because their lives were hard. And they did not like living in the city.

Ki-Wu and Pao-Shu wanted to find a quiet place to relax. They walked deep into the forest. Suddenly, Pao-Shu saw something on the road. He said, “What is that?”

Ki-Wu picked it up. He said, “This is gold!” Then, he said, “Here, Pao-Shu. This is yours. You found it.”

But Pao-Shu said, “No, Ki-Wu. It is yours. I did not know what it was, but you did.” But Ki-Wu would not take the gold.

Ki-Wu said again, “Take the gold, Pao-Shu. It is yours.” But Pao-Shu said, “No, I will not. The gold is yours!” Soon, the two friends were arguing.

They argued for a few minutes. Then, they stopped suddenly, and they laughed. Ki-Wu dropped the gold. He said, “Our friendship is worth more than gold.”
