Long ago, there was a mother. Her daughter was very lazy. She always made excuses to avoid work. One day, the mother became sick, and she could not cook dinner. The mother asked her lazy daughter to help.

The mother said, “Cook some rice.” The lazy daughter asked, “Where is the rice?” The mother said, “It is in the big bag, by your feet.” The mother said, “Put water in the pot.” The lazy daughter asked, “Where is the pot?” The mother said, “It is on the shelf, by your shoulder.”

The mother said, “Cook the meat.” The lazy daughter asked, “Where is the mother said, “Put the dishes on the table.” The lazy daughter asked, “Where are the dishes?” The mother said, “They are in the cabinet, behind you.”

The mother said, “Pour the juice.” The lazy daughter said, “Where is the juice?” The mother said, “It is in the pitcher, on the table.” The mother said, “Find your father.” The lazy daughter asked, “Where is my father?” Then, the mother got angry. She said, “I wish you had 100 eyes!”

POOF! The lazy daughter disappeared. Later, the father came home. He was holding a strange, yellow fruit. The father said, “When I was walking in the garden, I found this fruit. Look! It has 100 eyes.” And that is how the pineapple came to be.
