One day, a man took his horse to the coconut trees. There were many coconuts. The man climbed the trees. He gathered a lot of coconuts. He put the coconuts into baskets on his horse.

He gathered more and more coconuts, and he loaded them onto his horse. In the evening, the man was tired. He said, “I should go home with my horse.”

The man saw a boy. The man asked, “How long will it take for me to go home?” The boy looked at the horse. He said, “If you go slowly, you will be home soon. But if you go quickly, you will be home late.”

The man did not understand. He thought, “If I go quickly, I will be home soon.” So the man made his horse go fast. Soon, the coconuts fell out of the baskets. The man stopped, and he put the coconuts in the basket. Then, he made the horse go fast again.

Again, the coconuts fell. And the man stopped and put the coconuts back into the baskets. Then, he went fast again, and again, and again. The coconuts always fell out of the baskets. When he got home, it was very late at night. Then, the man understood the boy’s message. “If you are careful and patient, you can reach your goals.”
