Long ago, a farmer’s wife was walking along a road. She was a kind woman, but she was not very smart. In the road, she saw a man looking up at the sky.

The woman asked the man, “Why are you looking up at the sky?” The man said, “I have just fallen from Heaven. Now, I cannot find the hole through which I can return.”
Page 3
The woman said, “If you live in Heaven, then do you know my son? His name is Kees. He died last year.” The man said, “Oh! Is Kees your son? He is my neighbor!”

The woman asked about her son. Unfortunately, the man only had bad news for her. He said, “Kees does not have money for food or new clothes.”
Page 5
The woman was surprised. She thought that money was only necessary on earth. She had always believed that Heaven was a better place, where money was not needed.

The woman asked the man, “Will you be able to find the hole and return to Heaven?” The man said, “Yes, I am sure I can find it again.”
Page 7
The woman said to the man, “Please come with me. I will prepare a gift of food and clothes for Kees. Will you take it to him?” The man agreed to help the woman and Kees.
