The king’s army had won, but the king was taken prisoner by the warlord. When the queen learned that her husband was a prisoner, she planned to rescue him.

The queen cut her hair, and she dressed up like a man. Because she could play the lute and sing, she pretended to be a traveling musician.

It took many years of traveling to other countries and cities. But her reputation grew, and she was finally famous enough to be invited to the warlord’s castle.

The queen went to the warlord’s castle, and she performed for him. He was so happy that he said, “You may take anything you like as your payment.”
