Once upon a time, there was a man. He was very rich. One morning, he woke up. His face hurt, so he looked in the mirror. His cheek was swollen and very big.

His cheek stayed swollen for many days. The man tried many kinds of medicine. But nothing worked. Finally, he visited a magician. The man asked, “Can you help me?”

The magician said, “You are a thief! The spirits of gold and silver are punishing you.” The man cried. He said, “Yes, I am a thief. But I will stop stealing things forever if you help me!”

The magician said, “I know what you can do, but you must give me half of your gold.” The man agreed. He wanted his cheek to get better. He gave a lot of gold to the magician.

The magician said, “There is no medicine that can help you. But if you go into the forest, you can meet some elves. They like to dance. If you dance well, they will grant you one wish.

"The next night, the man went into the forest. He saw the elves. They were laughing and dancing. The man began to dance, too. But he was nervous; he could not dance well.

The elves became angry because the man danced badly. The Elf King used his magic to make the man’s other cheek swollen. Now, he had two swollen cheeks!
