Long, long ago, there was a very old temple. One day, robbers came, and they killed all of the priests. Then, the robbers stole the treasures from the temple.

After that day, the temple became haunted. Sometimes priests would try to live there, but they all gave up. They were afraid of the ghosts.

After many years, priests stopped going to the temple. And the people who lived nearby were afraid to go there. The temple belonged to the ghosts.

One evening, a traveler came to the town. He was a priest, and he came from far away.

The priest saw the temple. He said, “I can sleep there tonight.” Because he came from far away, he did not know that the temple was haunted.

The temple was very old, and many parts of it were ruined. But the priest found a small room. That is where he tried to sleep.

When the priest tried to sleep, he had bad dreams. Then, at midnight, he began to hear strange noises.
