Long ago, there was a man named Ho Kwan. He was a very good man. He never killed any animals. And he did not even kill insects. Ho Kwan was not a rich man, but he had some silver coins. He kept the silver coins in a wooden chest in his house.

One night, some white ants came into his house. They ate the the wooden chest. And they ate many of Ho Kwan’s coins. The next morning, Ho Kwan and his son saw the damaged chest. And they saw that many silver coins were gone.

Ho Kwan’s son looked for the white ants. He found them in a cave. He said to Ho Kwan, “If we light a fire, the white ants will burn. And we can find the silver.” But Ho Kwan did not want to burn the white ants. He said to his son, “We cannot kill these white ants. Life is worth more than silver coins.”

That night, Ho Kwan had a dream. In the dream, many soldiers came to him. They were dressed in white armor. The white soldiers took Ho Kwan to their castle. In the castle, Ho Kwan met the queen.

The queen said to Ho Kwan, “You are a good man. I will give you a gift. There is a tree near your house. Under the tree is a jar. In the jar are many silver coins. ”The next day, Ho Kwan found the jar. Then, Ho Kwan knew that his dream was real. The white ants gave him this silver because he was kind to them.
