One night, a man was walking home. But it was very dark. He tried to follow the path, but he got lost. Suddenly, the man saw a small light in the distance. He began to walk to the light, then he stopped. He remembered the story about the fairy that lived in this forest.

The fairy often tried to trick people with her lights. If a person followed the lights, the person was lost forever. But the fairy was also greedy. So the man said, “Fairy, I will not come to you. But I will give you two silver coins if you help me.”

Suddenly, the fairly appeared. She said, “Give me the coins, and I will help you.” But the man said, “First you must help me. I know that you are tricky.” The fairy said, “How can I help you?” The man said, “Take me to my home.”

The fairy floated through the forest. The man followed her. Soon, they saw the man’s house.The man gave the fairy one copper coin. The fairy said, “You promised me two silver coins.” The man said, “I do not need your help, now.” The angry fairy flew away.

The man laughed. Then, he turned around to go home. But he did not see his house! The fairy used her magic to make the man get lost. The man never found his house again. And that is how he learned his lesson: A man can never be trickier than a fairy!
