Once upon a time, there were three goats. One goat was very small. Another goat was middle-sized. And the last goat was big and strong. One day, the little goat said, “I will go across the bridge to eat the grass there.”

When the little goat crossed the bridge, a wolf jumped out. The wolf said, “I will eat you now!” The little goat said, “Do not eat me! A bigger goat will come across the bridge soon.” So the wolf waited.

When the middle-sized goat crossed the bridge, the wolf jumped out again. The wolf said, “I will eat you now!” The middle-sized wolf said, “Do not eat me! A bigger goat will come across the bridge soon.” So the wolf waited again.

When the big goat came across the bridge, the wolf jumped out again. The wolf said, “I will eat you now!” The wolf ran toward the big goat, but the big goat was not afraid. He stood there, and he waited for the wolf to come.

Then, when the wolf reached the big goat, the big goat lowered his head. Then, the big goat butted the wolf all the way across the field. The wolf was too greedy, and he got more than he could handle. After that day, he never tried to eat the three goats again.
