When it was time to pick the turnip, the old man went into the garden. He pulled the turnip, but it did not move. It was too big!

Then, the old woman came to help him. The old man said “1, 2, 3...pull!” They pulled and pulled. But they had no luck.

Their granddaughter saw them. The old man said “1, 2, 3...pull!” They pulled and pulled again. But the turnip did not come out.

Then, the dog joined them. The old man said “1, 2, 3...pull!” They pulled the turnip again and again. But it did not move.

Then, the cat joined them. The old man said “1, 2, 3...pull!” They pulled and pulled and pulled! But, no. The turnip was still in the ground.

Finally, the mouse joined them. There was an old man, an old woman, a young girl, a dog, a cat, and a mouse! They all pulled together.
