One day, a Dragonfly landed on the branch of a tree to rest. It was very hot, and the Dragonfly was tired. She had been flying all day.

A Monkey saw the Dragonfly. The Monkey said, “What are you doing on my tree?” Then, the Monkey threw a stone at the Dragonfly.

The Dragonfly was very quick, and she flew out of the way of the stone. Then, she flew away to her home.

The Dragonfly told her brother about the cruel Monkey. The Dragonfly’s brother was the King of the Dragonflies, and he was angry!

The King of the Dragonflies sent a message to the King of the Monkeys. The message said, “Your Monkey threw a stone at my sister. Now, I declare war on the Monkeys!”

The King of the Monkeys laughed. He said, “Dragonflies are small. Monkeys are bigger, and stronger, and smarter!”

The King of the Dragonflies brought his army to the battlefield. There were many Dragonfly soldiers, but they did not carry any weapons.

The Monkey soldiers had big clubs. The King of the Monkeys said, “Attack! Kill the Dragonflies with your clubs!”

All of the Dragonflies were very quick. They landed on the heads of the Monkeys, then they flew away. The Monkeys swung their clubs, but they only hit other Monkeys on their heads!

All of the Monkeys were knocked out! The Dragonflies won the war!
