Many years ago, a mother had two daughters. One day, while they were all sewing together, the older daughter said, “Let’s play a game!”

The mother and the younger daughter were scared. The older daughter was evil, and she always wanted to play terrible games.

The older daughter said, “We are all sewing. So, this is the game. We shall kill the first person who drops a needle!” The younger daughter said, “I will not play!”

The younger daughter went out to the barn, and she sat on an old saddle. She played with the animals. The mother and the older daughter kept sewing.

Soon, the older daughter bumped her mother, and her needle fell. The older daughter said, “You dropped it!” Then, she killed her mother!

The younger daughter took her mother, and she buried her. Then, she said a prayer. When she did that, a golden light suddenly appeared.

When the younger daughter looked up from her prayer, she saw an angel. The angel said, “Because you are good, I will help you. Take this dress and shoes.”

The younger daughter put on the dress and the shoes. Then, she went to church. A prince was at the church, and he saw the beautiful girl.

The girl saw the prince looking at her. She became shy, and she ran away. While she was running, one of her shoes fell off. The prince found the shoe.

The prince searched all over for the girl. He wanted to marry the kind and beautiful girl. Finally, he came to the house where she lived with her evil sister.
