Long ago, there was a poor, blind man. One day, he fell into a hole. Nobody heard his calls for help.

The man thought he would die in the hole. But then, he heard a voice. The voice said, “If you give 300 bags of rice to the temple, I will save you.”

The man said, “I will give 300 bags of rice to the temple!” Then, a warm hand from heaven came. The hand took the man out of the hole.

The man went home. He told his story to his daughter. He said, “How can I give 300 bags of rice to the temple? I am too poor!”

That night, the daughter had a dream. In her dream, a fisherman gave 300 bags of rice to the temple.

The next day, the daughter went to the port. She saw many fishermen. They were very sad. They were not fishing.

The daughter asked a fisherman, “Why are you not fishing?” The fisherman said, “The Sea Dragon is angry. He brings storms, and he sinks our boats.”

The daughter said, “I will marry the Sea Dragon. Then, he will be happy. But you must give 300 bags of rice to the temple.”

The fisherman gave 300 bags of rice to the temple. Then, he took the daughter to the Sea Dragon. The Sea Dragon was happy to have a beautiful wife.

The Sea Dragon was kind to the blind man’s daughter. They were very happy together. And the daughter often went home to visit her father.
