One day long ago, Emperor Ming Wong was walking with his servants. He was playing his flute in the garden.

Emperor Ming Wong stopped, and he looked up at the Moon. The Moon was very big and bright.

Emperor Ming Wong asked one of his servants, “What can I see on the Moon?” The servant did not know the answer. That servant asked another servant.

Each servant asked the other, “What can Emperor Ming Wong see on the Moon?” None of the servants knew the answer.

Then, a magician walked by. The magician said, “Emperor Ming Wong. I can take you to the Moon. Do you want to go with me?” Emperor Ming Wong said, “Yes, I do!”

The magician made a rainbow bridge. He and Emperor Ming Wong walked on the bridge. They walked to the Moon.

On the Moon, Emperor Ming Wong saw trees with golden leaves. And he saw a rabbit. The rabbit was pounding leaves to make medicine.

Emperor Ming Wong saw princesses in beautiful robes. And he saw white birds in the golden trees. Soon, Emperor Ming Wong and the magician had to go.

On the rainbow bridge, Emperor Ming Wong played his flute. The notes fell to the Earth like a soft rain. Then, the magician tossed gold coins to all of the children.

Now, there is a Moon Festival every year in China. You can eat moon cakes and look at the big, bright Moon. Maybe you can see the rabbit up there, making medicine!
